Obituary of Stephen M. Medvid

Medvid Stephen M. "Skip" Age 78, of Cecil, on May 10, 2013. He was born on July 12, 1934, in Bridgeville. A son of the late Michael and Pauline Chabala Medvid. On October 5, 1963 he married C. Debbie Suhayda Medvid, who survives. Mr. Medvid worked as a lithographer for printing companies. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an avid golfer and bowler. Surviving along with his wife are three sons; Craig (Pam) Medvid, John (Amy) Medvid and Vincent Medvid, two grandchildren; Jacklyn and Parker Medvid, two brothers; Dennis (Stephanie) Medvid and Richard (Cindy) Medvid, a sister; Elaine (William) Kandravy and an endearing sister-in-law; Barbara Gillespie, also many nieces and nephews. Friends received Monday, 2-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10 AM, in St. Mary"s Church, Cecil, with the Rev. Stan Gregorek, as Celebrant. Interment to follow with full military honors in St. Mary"s Cemetery, Cecil. Memorials may be made to St. Mary"s Church, 10 St. Mary"s Lane, Cecil, PA 15321.
