Mr. Willy was the Hometown High Q team coach for both of my sons, and was my daughter's AP teacher. He was a good guy, and a great teacher. You could tell that each student was #1 to him and that he genuinely cared for each and every one of them. He inspired the students and made them want to be better. A great role model and a tremendous loss. My condolences to his family. May his memory be eternal.

We lost a great man in Josh. A dedicated teacher who positively influenced the lives of thousands of kids. A valued member of the South Fayette sports community donating his time doing what he loved coaching and cheering on his sons and hundreds of other kids playing youth sports. A father, husband and son who was always there with a smile on his face and love in his heart.
Josh was a positive influence on everyone. His energy, positivity and selflessness were unmatched. Josh Willy was someone we all wished we could be, but most of us could never be. He had “it”. That is the mark of an exceptional man, one who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Mr Willy was 2 of my children's gifted coordinator and one of my sons civics teacher. For 11yrs he has been a huge part of our interactions at Penn Hills High School. He was almost always the first face my kids would see getting dropped off in the morning. My oldest son graduated almost 6 yrs ago but he always asked how he was and what he was up to. He played such a roll in his rocky high school career serving as a safe place and a sounding board when things got hard for him. He will be missed by so many. He was definitely one of the best.

Josh was my daughter’s gifted counselor when she was in high school. He & I met many times over the years to discuss her education. I started working at the high school three years ago. I didn’t see him often, but when I did, we always had very nice conversations. All of my memories of him are fond. He was always kind to me & my daughter. I will miss him. Ann DeVito
