Obituary of Thomas E. Sinton, Jr.

Age 49, of South Fayette Township, on December 24, 2024 after a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Amanda (Schiller) Sinton; devoted and loving father of Nathan T. Sinton, Emily K. Sinton, and Luke R. Sinton; cherished son of Thomas and Ann Sinton; loving brother of Amy (Cullen) Flanders; son-in-law of Walter and Pamela Schiller; brother-in-law of Steve (Jill) Schiller; uncle of Hannah (Mitchell) Miles, Ethan Flanders, Dylan Flanders, Evan Schiller, and Troy Schiller; also survived by his loyal companion Bailey. Tom served as President and member of the South Fayette Soccer Association Board, where he also coached his children and so many others. Investing in the youth of our community brought him great joy, and he was so proud to watch his daughter, and several of his former players, bring home a back-to-back WPIAL Soccer Championship this year. He was a member of a Huddle Group at the Bible Chapel. The men that he locked arms with there continued to bless and encourage him long after the group stopped meeting. Tom loved to laugh, and was always quick with a “Dad” joke. He was famous for picking hilarious birthday cards and winning the Christmas “pickle” ornament hunt. Tom built a wonderful life with his wife of 23 years. He loved being a father, and was always so proud of his children- their many accomplishments but their character most of all. Tom would often be found at the South Fayette Stadium watching soccer games, track meets, and cheering on the LGM at football games. In recent years, he developed a love of photography and tried to capture as many of those events as possible. He was an avid traveler to club sporting events with his kids, and his children cherish those memories and the individual time they got to spend with their Dad. Tom will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew him, and we are better people because he was a part of our lives. Family and friends received on Monday, December 30th from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31st at 11 AM at the Bible Chapel, 300 Gallery Drive, McMurray, PA 15317. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sinton Children’s Education Fund, c/o Warchol Funeral Home Inc. 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017. Please make checks payable to Amanda Sinton.
