Obituary of Chester S. Zygowski

Age 78, of Sheraden, passed away on December 1, 2024. Beloved husband of Sylvia Zygowski, loving father of Keith (Melissa) Zygowski and Christine (Robert) Clydesdale, devoted grandfather of Connor and Nathan Clydesdale, brother of Robert (Joan) Zygowski and Dan (Barbara) Zygowski, uncle of Melanie (Jeremy) Stanforth, Sarah (Tim) Connors and Katie (Cody) Ressel. He was born in Pittsburgh on March 8, 1946. A son of the late Chester and Elizabeth “Ginger” (Wroblewski) Zygowski, Sr. Chet grew up in Lawrenceville, PA and proudly served his country in the USMC Reserves. He was a retired employee of Port Authority Transit, Manchester and later worked at Warchol Funeral Home, Bridgeville. An avid, antique and classic car enthusiast. Chet was a founding member and past president of the Tri State Chapter – Professional Car Society. He enjoyed attending car cruises with his wife Sylvia and watching college football. Above all, Chet loved his family and adored his grandsons. Friends received Saturday, December 14, from 12noon – 2pm, at which time a service will be held at 2pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
