Thankfully, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Mej; I found her to be wonderful: warm, kind, never indifferent to the feelings of others. She raised fantastic children and incredible grandchildren. She and her husband had a genuine love story; a truly incredible life led by an extraordinary woman. You will be missed.

We went on vacation with the Barbish family and Mej definitely was a light, a comedian, and one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. She not only wanted to be a part of her kids lives, she wanted to just have a damn good time. You can see where Jill & Sarah get their quirks. (Oh and the fun fingernail colors, can’t forget that) will be missed

I have had the honor of getting to know Mej. I loved getting to talk to her about her trips that she would take and her grandchildren . She would just light up when talking about both . I remember when she was planning the anniversary party she was so excited about it ! She was so happy to get her family and friends together and celebrate. I will so miss our conversations and my prayers and love are with her family . She was greatly loved by anyone that met her . Love April Redford

I enjoyed getting to know Mej through a dear friend recently and felt like I knew her all my life! She was so easy to talk to and had some great stories to tell of her adventurous life. She really added the Sunshine to the group! There was one particular day we enjoyed a martini with the girls on her beautiful back porch that turned into a story my husband will be telling for years to come! He always gets a good laugh retelling it!!! Then we took a hike so to speak on a rugged trail on top of Mt Washington for Marion’s Bday celebration and felt like Wonder Woman when we made it out unscathed!! She made it more fun for sure! May you all be Blessed as you share your stories which I am sure are as Heartwarming and beautiful and entertaining as she always has been!!!! God Bless you with comfort peace and hope until you meet again!

So sorry to hear of MEJs passing, we will always remember the Tuesday night volleyball gatherings and the famous Barbisch popcorn bags. All of the great times together when the kids were growing up at games, beach trips, and the dances we all shared are cherished memories. God Bless you all at this time of sorrow.

We are deeply saddened with the loss of our cherished friend. A take me as I am woman, Mej extended herself to others, welcomed many into her home with an open and loving heart any time, any day and for any reason. She was a natural hostess making everyone comfortable and welcome. She introduced us to her favorite world of cruising took us with her (and John of course) on a few adventures. She loved a good time filled with family and friends. We consider ourselves blessed to have called her friend and ‘sister’. Mej was the best and will be sorely missed!! Photo of the circle of friends she started and remained faithful to for many many years.
